@SecurityWriter Some takes I found along the way:
- Being left-handed in a right-handed world
- No 'scripting' available to you in your brain - you would have to juggle your tasks on your own, and habit forming will be very difficult (I keep needing to think about my day before packing my bag, to make sure I have everything, even when it's the same as the last couple of weeks every day)
Specifically for the diagnosis journey, it's up to them. The label you get is something that is mostly for yourself, and I don't know how it works in the UK, but at most places, it unlocks the ability to get a 'handbook' on something they struggle with, along with some medication to help work on themselves.
