This is Karl talking in English, about all sorts of stuff.... @karlp@loðfíll.is for icelandic....

Pump up the jam, on Countdown, is such a sad late 80s culture clash. Wow.
I'm not even sending spam. I'm _replying_ to outlook/hotmail users who email me. fuck all of this.
yet again, outlook is blocking mail from my private domain. S3140. I'm tired. I don't know what other hoops I'm meant to jump through, and they won't tell me. I'm not on block list, reverse path is ok, spf is ok.

Lost another hour or so fighting SELinux again. I should learn my lessons and just leave it off
Ahhhhh yeah, nothing like a 10% can of Toøl to take the edge of a long day... :)
Went away on holidays, and now I've fallen way behind on my https://hoer.live queue! I "need" to go back to work to keep up to speed! #firstworldproblems
So, I spy an obvious nazi in a bar, but I'm in a mixed group of six. I am _not_ a fighter, and already have the plates in my face from failing last time. What do I do?!
More excellent technology work. Replaced a perl script that took 4 seconds to run with a python script that takes 3.7 seconds to run! Who said python was slow!
I'm a good tech person. I replaced jquery 1.4.2 with some raw JS today!
Hrmm, waking up to earthquakes again....
I fucking hate -Werror. I think I'm starting to really fucking hate cmake too.
Waiting on c++ builds again. wow. people live like this?!
Trying to 3d print a replacement ikea coffee press push knob. 3€ printing, fine. 10€ shipping, not great. Replacement entire coffee press from ikea? 13€ yeayyyy
and... we've progressed one more layer. We've regenerated some old galleries, we've added more knobs for IPTC Caption-Abstract fields that contain utf8 instead of the required 8859-1, we've unwound a couple of side rabbit holes, back to the _main_ rabbit hole now?!
is the file's caption in ISO-8859-1 or UTF-8? what about the article content? what method was being used in 2005 when the file was first written? I'm making progress, but it's pretty slow :)
converting some 20 year old perl to python (static stite generation stuff) and continually stubbing my toe on all sorts of things that only worked at various points in that timeline. Regenerating even just small subsections is.... just more worms :) Perhaps that can be tomorrow's job...
Middle aged moment number n+1, Nord electro is up to number _5_! Lengi lifir rokk'n'roll!
