@catsalad Just keeping one eye on you :ablobcatnod:

@donray Same here with a few days delay. Maybe 40 on Thursday with some rain.

Already bumped up to 11 degF from earlier toot. Can watch it climbing right now. Maybe a degree every 5 minutes and that's on the north side of the house...

2025-12-14

@donray I'm up to 6 degF, much better than the -2.6 earlier at 5am😉

@idropyou Hazards of being a pioneer winging their own cooler😆

2025-12-13

@idropyou But what is that coil area temp?

2025-12-13

@donray @FediTips Found mention of a new server setting too, that an Administrator might use🤔

@donray @FediTips Guessing... see if this sheds any light on your question🤷‍♂️

I often peruse Mastodons Github issues when I run into interface problems...

@jerzone Pretty sure one of the Black Voids laid a paw in it when you weren't looking :ablobcatnod:

@thenetnetofthenet I looked at a new Master 140 in the store yesterday. Could just make out the caps through the plastic clam-shell package. How well they're hidden varies.

It's really vague... but it looks like one is starting to show here. Pointer is just touching the top of a caps edge, maybe...🤔

2025-12-11

@jerzone That's some dedicated trail building👍

The sound reminds of a working steam engine train. "Chug-chug-chug..." but I didn't hear any TOOT! TOOTS!😉

2025-12-11

@donray Makes sense to me👍
I've tried fixing similar buttons to mine years ago. They're not a long lived design. When it was new I could reset the daily by pressing two buttons with on hand. Nowadays I have to use both hands and kinda rock one of the buttons around to find a working spot😆

2025-12-11

@idropyou That looks like a nice setup👍

2025-12-11

@danmccullough @HeatherMJ Nice 👍

I have to settle for summer crickets and occasional traffic. We'll be in a heap of woe if I hear water running😆

2025-12-11

@donray Agreed👍

Mine is really old too and from RS. Has the wired outdoor sensor. The small white wire coming from the bottom goes outside.

It keeps Min/Max values which I try to note and reset everyday for outside. The chicklet buttons are getting oinky to make contact. I keep finding new ways to push them😆

I've had to clean up battery barf a couple times but that isn't the devices fault...

Micronta Digital dual indoor/outdoor thermometer bought from Radio Shack ~30 years ago. Mounted above an old rotary wall phone with a pheasant feather wedged in behind the phone.

@Sheep_Overboard @jerry I tell my dentist they can use purple fillers or whatever color they've got if they'll last longer😉

2025-12-10

@idropyou In looking at the AZ comments... it seems some people were breaking them🙄

I don't use it a lot but like today it was for cleaning up County plow mess out by mailboxes. I work it hard but try not pry too much with it. Been using it for maybe 20 years now. Time flies...

@idropyou Picture of my plastic scoop and one like yours. Really like the longer handle I put on it. It's this True Temper #12 Grain Scoop. However I see they sell it with a long handle too😍

Driveway done for the time being...

@jerzone I'm about 30 miles inland from Lake Michigan.
Weather forecasts and precip descriptions don't mean a whole lot here...

I've watched monster storms in Wisconsin go poof on radar while coming across that lake. And a little disturbance turns into a head for the cellar after crossing it😆
