6 years sober today.

I used to think sobriety would make life smaller - less wild, less weird, less fun.

As it turns out, there’s far more magic on this side.

I’ve had six years of clarity, connection, cringey dancing, bad dates, belly laughs, brutal honesty, and real joy.

No filter. No blackout. No numbing.

Just me, all in.

And I couldn’t be happier.

The Hamilton Face Band drummer is Ruth Underwood (then Komaroff) who around that time started playing with Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention.

I still think we need a specific scale for measuring climate change. Just using Celsius degrees doesn't communicate very immediately with our perception and the more urgent thing about climate change is make people really perceive it

I don't want an 'AI assisted life'.

I want trees, forests, wild plants and animals. I want to eat good food produced locally, with minimal environmental impact. I want a free society that works for everyone but especially those in need, not just a few billionaires. I want a life full of magic and wonder at the natural world. I want to live a good life alongside every living thing on the planet.

I do not want AI slop.

Hygiene is something curious, everyone has different standards. I always observe Chinese people cleaning the table they will use for studying or cleaning the seats when they sit in a public space. For me this act is almost just a superstition -- I mean, usually these places are already relatively clean at least for the eyes, but if they are dirty, simply wipe it with a paper will not make it really more clean. By the other hand, they usually don't mind to eat in a not very clean restaurant.
