@alicia_noreally @schizanon async/await is promises. It's just sugar syntax around how one used to do it with "then" and "catch". Wrapping an awaited fetch call in try/catch will catch any errors.

As right-wing extremists are re-platformed everywhere from Twitter to Mar-a-Lago, it’s more important than ever that we hold our journalists, researchers, & others to high standards of accountability when it comes to reporting on extremism and extremists. We need journalists who will tell us the truth, not stake out a position in the middle of two unequal sides. I keep coming back to this quote about reporting on the weather, but it was missing something — so I modified it to make it complete.
Optimist: The glass is ½ full.
Pessimist: The glass is ½ empty.
Excel: The glass is January 2nd.

A lovely micro #javascript reactive library has popped up that all the minimalists out there will love.
it uses existing modern js features like
string templates, observable data & reactivity.
If you have JS fatigue & dont want to touch all the meta frameworks poping up each day, this could be the thing for you.
So my early thoughts combine this with #astro and you have the worlds smallest library you need to make a full blown web app.
We're new here. Please keep away from the scaffolding while we paint and remodel. 😎
Some initial thoughts around the small amount of time I've spent using #obsidian this last week.
1. Being able to use Markdown to create a vault of interlinked notes is very intuitive and powerful.
2. Using #obsidian to write documentation for a #GitHub repository is fabulous for someone who meticulously documents their projects.
3. The #Kanban plug-in is superb
4. The community is welcoming and helpful.
5. VIM bindings!
I'll probably do a blog post once I know what I'm doing more.

Regarding the announcement that a special counsel will be appointed in the DOJ probes: I never had strong feelings one way or the other, but I did find
Randall Eliason's arguments persuasive.

Leverage = impact produced / time invested. It is the ability to get more done with less effort, time or money.
