Reminds me of when I experimented with VVC (H.266) (next gen H.265 or AV1) just to see how much space it'd save, and I gave up, because the speeds were just soooo unbelievably slow.
We're almost talking seconds per frame on a 480p video when using a reasonable level.

Ok, rendering AV1 4K in software is insanity.
I'm doing AV1 FHD60 in software regularly, bc I'm not buying a >1000€ Nvidia, but 4K30 is just too much. My PC is absolutely burning.

My stress levels are over the top.
In contrast to last week where I took 3 days off, and felt incredibly great.
Worst thing is I'm not the only one nor the first one collapsing.

So, I just went to my doctor and they put me on "vacation" for 10 workdays. Don't think I've ever been sick for that long.

I bet you, if you take the device to a microscope, you won't find a single scratch or tiny dent, except for a scratch where the charging port is, and a little scratch on the camera lens, WHICH DOESN'T CAUSE THE SCREEN TO DEVELOP STRESS THAT WOULD HIT AFTER A YEAR!
