Day 9 of monstober:
A gentle blue forager of plants.

Made in aquarelle and coloured pencils.

A monster is drawn on a white background in aquarelle and coloured pencils. She is blue with a purple pink belly. She has six legs and two arms. A small tail with a fin at the end. Around her head are a sort of bat-like-gils. Her face looks like a cross-over between a dog of cat. She has a large mouth, open in a slight smile with fine, small, pointy teeth and big green eyes. She wears a huge straw hat with flowers and plants woven into the band. She is caring a wicker basket with plants and vegetables. She is holding an organelle flower, holds it up to her face, smiles slightly while she smells it.

Day 8 of monstober:
A candy floss pink monster and a wizard play a board game.

Made in aquarelle and coloured pencils.

A drawing on a white background. There are two characters who are playing a board game. On the left is a big, fluffy, pink monster. He has the legs of a goat and is hairy all over. His hair looks like candy floss. It has the same pink colour as well. He has a smile and big, friendly, green eyes. He sits on a small wooden stool. On the right sits a wizard on a high bar stool. He is absorbed in the game, and is about to make a move. He has a pointy hat, and wears long robes. His feet don't touch the ground. The game board on the table has little figurines and a castle in the middle.

Monstober day 6:
Colère ludique / Ludicrously angry

Made in gouache and coloured pencils.

Painted and drawn on a white background: A monster with the body and legs that are similar to those of a boar or pig. It has a longer tail with a fluffy end. Its neck and head are the same size as its body. The head is turned around, looking over the shoulders, and the monster screams with all its might in a burst of anger. You see the teeth in his mount, and it sticks out its tongue. The colour of the body is a brown ochre colour with pink stripes. Towards the neck and the head, it changes into a bright, pink red. The visible eye is looking in the sky with a small, blue hue pupil.

Blue crocodile-lizard with many legs for day 2!

Made in gouache and coloured pencils.

A blue monster painted and drawn on a white background. He looks a little like a cross-over between a lizard and crocodile, but he has at least 10 or 12 legs. He is a cyan-ultramarine blue with scales and hints of purple. Furthermore, he is leaning with his front legs on a little stool and looks over his shoulder, slightly annoyed.

October will be: Monstober.
A monster a day!

Starting with this yellow, furry animal.
He's first painted in gouache and then finished with coloured pencils.

A drawing/painting of a yellow, furry monster on a white background. The monster has a lion, cat-like face with a pink nose and big green eyes. It has a furry yellow mane comb on its back. It is rather round, with four legs and paws, a bit like a bird with green claws. Its yellow fur has a soft, green leopard motif. He is first painted in gouache and then finished with coloured pencils.

Underneath are the words: "Ex Libris stamp, Customisable stamps now available in the webshop at www.margodeweerdt.com"An image of the cat design in my ex libris stamp series. Its tail is curling around the edge of the stamp, and in the open space between the cat's head and the tail are the initials “M.D.W.”

@mahadevank Thank you! 😃 Well, I use this specific ink, and it is called It "Indian ink", underneath it in Dutch (my native language) it says "East-Indian ink". Essentially, that is how I have know it for years. If I look it up, wikipedia: "India ink is noted for its deep, rich black colour"
I like it because it is indeed deeper in shade, density, and gives a beautiful opaque result. 🙂
I don't know however where it is produced..

An image of the ink I use, the big bottle version: Talens, Indian Ink, East-Indian ink.

A portrait of an imaginary woman inspired by images of the 80s. Specifically, some photos of princess Diana at the time. It is made in ecoline and graphite pencil. You see her framed from her head to her mid-torso, frontal. She has the typical yellow, gold, short hair inspired by Diana and wears a bright red dress with broad shoulders.
