I've been working on a blog post (for too long) about my travels back in the #usa and how #americans are really weird (f'd up in the head, really). Ok, less on that bit.
One of the reasons is that I've had near constant issues with other guests in hostels in the states, whereas it wasn't a thing at all in nearly a year and a half of traveling latin america.
I just flew back into #nyc from a trip and on the sky train from #jfkairport some lady was yelling at some dude. Then when I got in to my #hostel I overheard the staff talking about how there was a guy who didn't know he was checked out because he thought he had an extra day, came back to his room to go to sleep and found someone lying in what he thought wa his bed. Instead of talking with the guy, he throws his bag on the person and then starts hitting him. No talking, no going to the front desk. Just total escalation to #violence and #assault over nothing.
That is Americans. You may think he's a one off, but he's not. It's been happening all around me since I got back. I think there should be a new hastag: #americansCausingProblems.
Americans are #cooked.
