@SDoering@literatur.social I went for a time hoping not to have to keep reminding publishing that we exist haha, but some publishers just have massive distribution and the books they choose really become what we are to most readers.
And if one is ready for the next step, let's start to see the difference between SEA stories as selected/edited by US/UK publishers and what is published by SEA in their respective countries.
"Where are the books by Southeast Asian authors, set in Southeast Asia?" This is asked fairly regularly, and I know I've answered with some exasperation in the past. But social media is so broken these days and I will assume that people really are genuinely looking.
Books by SEA authors set in SEA are here, published in SEA. Look for the self-published, indies, small presses, regional pubs. Support SEA creators.
