I started my day at 7:45a. I have had calls to argue as to why I’m not assigning software or hardware to employees who haven’t started work with the company (as in, I won’t let them come to the office to pick up a device before they start). I have had another call recommending a workaround with HR to solve that issue. I have had a call to ask where I’m at on something else, to which I finally said “you know, if you hadn’t called me 3 times before noon about nonsense I might have been able to send an email to the vendor asking for an update.”
I’ve had Mr Former IT Superstar not know how to launch an Incognito window. I’ve had Finance scream at me about contract update status…to a contract I DON’T MANAGE (but Finance does!).
I started job hunting last night. I have therapy in 25 minutes with my psychiatrist. I’ve gained 18lbs since I went on vacation because of med subtractions and additions. I’m having anxiety attacks at least twice a week.
But I did get our destroyed circuit fixed yesterday and some other lights hung. And today I managed to smack the order button on the last 121 boxes of flooring that are in the US that I need to replace my 1st and 2nd floor builder specials.
And I started drinking before 12:30p.
I now understand why consultants will put the supid tax in on their billing. I mean, I did before, but now I REALLY do.
