Literally no patience with people who realize 20 days before the deadline that accessibility is difficult. You had years to prepare.
@adactio @zachleat What is this nonsense? 😂 https://worldwideweb30.com/images/wow.jpg
Classy! Registering WCAG dot com and then having a 1.1.1 fail in the logo of the site.

It's almost time for Global Accessibility Awareness Day and I can finally share my thesis in an accessible format 🎉
Due to the mandatory template used, the thesis PDF is not accessible. So there was no way I was going to share it with the world. It took a year, but I managed to create a website with an #accessible #version of the 160-pages thesis on #AccessibilityOverlays, and some additional content!
You can find it here: https://overlays.dnikub.dev ✨
There’s no AI in ‘team’.
But there is in ‘failure’.
Figma Sites will contribute to a more exclusive web.
They already dominate the web design sector and they must grow. How? By finding a new target group. One that probably doesn't know anymore how bad Frontpage, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, et al were for accessibility.

@matuzo The natural evolution of iconfonts in my opinion.
A lovely little look back at the @btconf in Düsseldorf this year <3

Thanks @marcthiele once more!
@heydon @nigeljohnwade @brucelawson
I'll shout "DIVS THREE EXCLAMATION MARKS" then ;P
If you would like to star in an upcoming https://briefs.video, DM me an audio file of you shouting “<div>s!!!”
If I get enough submissions, I hope to create a gang vocal for a musical number...

Pass it on."
Here are my thoughts about @btconf 2025 summed up in a new blog post.

@heydon The answer is in your question my friend. The masses love derivative wank.
@Cyd Today I dipped my toes into view-transitions and I got quite far. Now it's the fine-tuning between the two states of content.
I'll get back to you with a link if that website goes live (currently in production for a client so no sharing yet).
Thanks again for your talk :)
@rem This is just great =D It's not even consistent in doing things wrong.
Recently tried to make a GPT use "separation of concerns" because it added CSS in JavaScript. It knew what separation of concerns is but wasn't able to take the CSS part out – not in ten iterations of the same task. Yet, it managed to mangle code in other places of the same script, which it should not have touched in the first place. Ludicrous.
I have used gpts to do code monkey work, parse some text, give me the result, or find the number of 4 day weeks between date 1 and date 2.
Even that, it turns out, isn't reliable. I know, I know: what's the point? The point is that devs entirely relying are…fucked.
The task was to parse text and add up the number of lessons in the log lines. They all had different answers, but because they were all different I then questions if my hand rolled answer was even right (it was…).
I’m curious… what does a creative developer do in your eyes? I’m in the animation/js/threejs bubble of creative devs, what bubbles are you guys in?
@Cyd Content creation, responsive design/layout, everything related to web fonts and some SVG things. Mainly HTML and CSS and some sprinkles of JavaScript here and there.
Now, that I've seen your talk I'll definitely look into view transitions though! 😍
