I really wish developers would stop breaking the title bar on their applications in an effort to save a few pixels. Having to hunt around in the config settings to find how to restore the normal Plasma title bar is a PITA. If I wanted a half functioning title bar on my apps I'd use a different desktop environment.

The crew of the Deepnight Revelation get to celebrate in the new year of 1120, whilst dealing with hot shot pilots and union representatives from the overworked Engineering teams.

After weeks of investigating the destruction of Horsingas covenant, we aren't sure whether we've actually progressed in finding out what is going on. We take a break to read some books, then head off to find a wise woman.

A quick look at what I've been doing in FoundryVTT for Mongoose Traveller. Mostly filling in character sheets for spacecraft, and tweaking the rules whenever I find something that isn't implemented yet.

A battle of French v English, in Saga: Age of Chivalry. The battle began with both sides tired after a forced march, so movement in the first couple of turns was limited.

This should have benefited the English and their ranks of archers, though the French did bring a cannon.

The Deepnight Revelation comes across a world where there are remains of an ancient civilisation mostly lost to time. They also need to find a route to the Droyne world of Draytsirv which won't leave them stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Our Ars Magica campaign takes us down to Hadrian's Wall, and the ruins of an ancient temple where strange things dwell in the earth.

@goldseal @yora Official content is being worked on for my MgT2e system.

As to the looks... that's fine. Personally I didn't like the looks of the Cepheus one, and made a deliberate decision for something a lot more straightforward. I'm no UX designer though. and there's definitely room for improvement.

@kichae we do a lot of troupe play, with Ars Magica and Traveller, where each player has multiple characters. Either a Magus and their companions and grogs, or multiple crew members on a starship. It does take the load off the GM.

When I last ran Pathfinder, I had each player have 3 characters. They weren't normally played simultaneously, but it allowed players to take some interesting very specialist characters that wouldn't be useful in every scenario (I ran a more social, urban game).

Stunning details now emerging: this was an operation planned a year and a half in advance, involved smuggling drones into Russia, placing them in containers on top of trucks, arranging for them all to open simultaneously and to strike.

@kichae When we played Strange Aeons, my spiritualist's spirit was his sister. They were fun to roleplay.

@floatybirb I use it on Linux, so it definitely works there. It's aimed at fantasy, but there are asset packs available for SciFi, both free and paid for. I use it for Traveller deck plans, and made my own assets (I wanted CC0 content), though there are nicer ones out there. Some examples of mine:

@floatybirb I use dungeondraft for deckplans, which allows me to simply drag and drop components onto the deck plan. You can get a precise look without too much effort.

@sundogplanets

That's a really nice article!

Incidentally, this morning I came across a writeup about the state of SpaceX in general. I used to grudgingly accept that they at least seem to know their rocketry.

Not so much it turns out.

The Deepnight Revelation continues its journey across uncharted space. Looking to stock up on supplies, it runs into food on a type of world where food isn't normally found.

In our Ars Magica game, we finish our investigation of the destroyed Horsingas, and head off to look into some thunder and lightning, which was of course very very frightening. Especially when our Merinita begins to have visions of the world breaking open.

We also find out about a pair of incestuous twins, and I have to change my body to show everyone else what the sister looked like.

@yora The 2nd edition WEG RPG rulebook had a table of times between some common systems, which had times ranging from hours to weeks. Tatooine to Alderaan is listed at 7h - which gets halved with the Falcon's 0.5 speed hyperdrive. Tatooine to Coruscant is given as 22d.
