An early morning presentation at NECS Conference discussing the comparative analysis of EYE Filmmuseum’s and the Portuguese Cinematheque’s colonial film collections. Thank you, Cátia Rodrigues, for the photo.
Masculinization of the Motherland by Vandana Shiva and this chapter by Mies are central in their collective book Ecofeminism. Even though knowing of this publication for the past ten years, it is the first time I am able to read it back to back. Perfect for my low-energy weekend in-between travels and conferences.
It was pretty amazing to be at ANIM again at the start of the week. Now watching Ruy Cinatti’s films shot in Timor.
Working on my next article. Presenting first approach at the NECS Conference on my next trip to Lisbon.
Great panel and stimulating discussion yesterday at AIM Congress in Faro. It has been a truly collective experience, with excellent contributions, despite technical difficulties and the extreme heat in Faro at present. Thanks to Patricia Pisters for taking the picture.
Presenting at this great congress at Algarve University. Happy to be back at AIM (Association of Moving Image Researchers) and (re)connecting with fellow researchers and filmmakers.
Amazing show by Priscila Fernandes at Dialogue Gallery in Lisbon
