How can you defend Iran with stories like this of a woman 5 months pregnant, arrested on suspicion of a civil violation, forced to sleep in shackles on a dungeon floor with cockroaches, denied access to reproductive healthcare, & suffered a stillbirth, which she was forced to deliver in front of prison guards. Horrific.
WAIT. Did I say Iran? I meant this happened in Louisiana this week to Iris Dayana Monterroso-Lemus, whose fiancee is a US citizen and she had no criminal record. #ThisIsAmerica

The German government did nothing to support the protest movement in Iran even though the activists risked their freedom and life. Until today Germany does the exact opposite and deports unwanted refugees to Iran no matter whether they have to fear being mishandled by religious fanatics.
Now the German government supports Israel's attacks on Iran under the pretense that it would be nice to topple the Mullah regime to free the Iranians from its despotic rule.
As the big protests against the repression of women were going on two years ago Germany even had a Foreign secretary who committed herself to a "feminist foreign policy". That was of no use for the endangered activists in Iran, especially as Kurdish activists who coined the claim Jin Jiyan Azadi, were and are criminalized in Germany in assistance to the Erdogan regime in Turkey.
Neither Israel nor Germany care in any way for the people of Iran.
They are only interested in the hegemonic goals of their own nation state. If it is useful for them they instrumentalize the political opposition like the US did in Iraq.
Freedom fighters have to rely on their own if they don't want to be pawns of other state rulers instead of the regime they rise up against.

Although specific for the UK, I doubt these numbers differ much between countries. The market has always been an ideological construct, to benefit a small clique.
