I've decided to join @pabloyoyoista, @craftyguy and @cas in holding Office Hours for postmarketOS and related topics. You can hop in a call with me for 30 minutes every week on Wednesdays at 4:00pm CET/CEST to chat about various topics and I'll do my best to answer questions, discuss problems and help you.

Still a lot work to do, but for the first time, we got completely integrated CI testing of kernels running... on a phone! For what I know, this is a first for a non-multi-million-euro-company in the FOSS world!! Can't be more proud of it and all the people that helped during this journey.

There's still a long road ahead, but in the future we might be able to automate kernel upgrades with a lot less manual testing, and continue working the "reliability" goal we presented in https://postmarketos.org/blog/2025/03/30/pmOS-year-priorities/

Had a bit of an improvised hacking and socialising weekend with @fossdd and @adrianyyy coming to visit at my place! Lots of chatting and hacking! We mostly worked on pmaports maintenance, documentation, systemd sub packages, mainline kernel, and HW-CI integration

Alpine Linux 3.23.0 Released 🎉
We are pleased to announce the release of Alpine Linux 3.23.0, the first release in the v3.23 stable series.

apk-tools 3.0.0 final is out
My first #postmarketos port, the AYN Thor :D
did this all while under my blanket (I did stay up until 7-8am throughout the night multiple times though 😭).
All the work was done on a Snapdragon X Elite laptop, no x64 was used in the creation of this port >:3
It was super fun too! If you're determined enough, pmbootstrap offers really good tooling for porting any sort of android device. I really recommend porting one of your own devices it's really fun and a great learning experience. The wiki gives alot of useful information on how to port stuff and there are a ton of helpful people in the postmarketos matrix and IRC chat (thx btw)
This port is still a little rough around the edges and kind of hacky but its awesome how quickly you can get something up and running, i only got this in the mail a couple days ago :)
