I've been picking up extra shifts at the fire department, so when I'm home, everybody gets all snuggly. Remy decided that if he trapped me on the sofa, I couldn't leave again, so we spent a lot of time w/ him snuggled on my leg while I watched TV.

@TheZeldaZone Is your former company charging a maintenance fee if you leave it where it is? If so, is that fee higher than you’d pay if you moved it? I left mine in place because I was happy with the way it was managed and my access to it wasn’t changing. Once I have a new job with a new 401k, I’ll roll it over just to have everything in one place. (Short version: there may be no downside to leaving it where it is.)

@jennagates.bsky.social I think the thing to remember is that when we do good, we make the world better for the people immediately affected, even if The World (in the larger sense) still seems to be going downhill on rollerskates. And all that "betterness” adds up, so think how much worse the world would be if the people who are doing good stopped!
