She/her pronouns. Comic relief, moral support, occasionally tells the packets where to go. Grumpy old queer married person in eastern Massachusetts. Generally wandering around feeling like I'm secretly a cartoon of three raccoons in a trenchcoat trying to pass. :donor:

Updated: #Alt4You: a comic book style image of Sarah Conner looking exhausted and pissed off as she smokes a cigarette. Caption: "SARAH CONNER WATCHING YOU USE AI FOR EVERYTHING"
They have that hammer so everything looks like a thumb.
@catsalad my old tortie, Vague, used to like it when she would lay on my chest and I’d bundle her in my robe or - in this case - zip up my hoodie to enclose her.
@AnhedonicHedonist @catsalad Those are some fine kitties!

I know there are themed bed and breakfast type places, but I didn't know that France has one that has a theme of fistfucking. La Fistinière https://www.vice.com/en/article/bed-and-breakfast-and-fisting-v18n8/
@leigh
OH MY GOD! LOOK WHAT YOU MADE FROM PARTS AROUND THE HOUSE!!!
Congrats to you and your partner and a big “welcome to the world” for Douglas.
@glyph Minor thing: Wikipedia now has a useful link to the IBM patent application for the 80-column card, which explains that it was just the level of density they could fit on the existing standard-size card by switching to rectangular holes more closely spaced.
Which in turn leads to one of my favorite historical facts: we standardized on 80-column terminals because of the size of US currency. The card size had been set by the 1890 US census, tabulated by Hollerith machines, and the cards were stored in surplus Treasury currency boxes, so they had to be no larger than the banknotes the boxes had been designed for.
Some more info and to-scale pictures of the cards alongside historical banknotes here:

@wendynather While I don't think I've seen a pic of Toni Tennille in that hat on the left, I could easily picture her in it which kind of gives a very 70's soft-rock kind of Captain & Tennille vibe for your hats.
@stripey An unsolicited suggestion, if I may? Would it work to spend some $$ on an AA membership instead? lots of tools and printers and stuff and a good excuse to get the fuck out of the house?
