@csantosb yep, I've refreshed the post
Deleted branch and CodeBerg closed the PR :-) no way to reopen
Are you part of the team?
Proposal to clarify what it is to be part of Python team
@adelfaure it reminds me of this one https://packages.guix.gnu.org/packages/astroterm/1.0.10/
@pjotrprins offline meeting is the only chance to fulfill human urge of sharing emotions and just talk to real humans
We can talk to screens at any time ;-)
If you are eager to be involved in some friendly FOSS community and would like to share some of your experience in a particular field where you see reproducibility and bootstrapability would improve the state of the art - don't be afraid and submit a request to be included in the one of many teams in Guix project!
Teams which will love to see for more participants #Java, #Go / #Golang #Perl, #Ruby, #Julia

Fantastic gathering together this year on Guix days, open, friendly environment. Big kudos to organisers <3
I didn't have a chance to see it offline on my list to watch it, it looks so close to what's going on in Python+ Rust + Node.js packages I tried to adopt for #Guix...
Due to a strike, train availability will be limited from Sunday 25th of January from 10 PM, to Friday 30th of January (last train).
In order to deal with the limited number of trains running, we will put in place an alternative service in accordance with staff availability.
Will your train run? Check https://www.belgiantrain.be/en. https://www.b-europe.com/EN/Disruptions also provides some information.
Hope this helps!
@dlakelan @alienghic there is jupyterlab on guix-science channel
It is still blocked to be accepted for the main one, see
https://codeberg.org/guix/guix/pulls/2073
There is a good collection of Julia available but it needs some love to update
#FOSDEM people, how is situation with railway workers strikes in Brussels?
I just published the first alpha version of the project that kept me busy this month: a minimal, highly consistent, portable and fast library for (contrast limited) (adaptive) histogram equalization of image arrays in #Python. The heavily lifting is done in #rustlang, and the Python API is (in my opinion) much more consistent than scikit-image's reference implementation.
If you find this useful, please star it !
If you need some feature currently missing, or if you find a bug, please drop by the issue tracker. I want this to be as useful as possible to as many people as possible !
@codebergstatus if your root on nvme SSD badblocks scan or smart scan ...
Thank you for your late tonight shift!

Yes! The Full-Source Bootstrap, as pioneered by #Guix (https://guix.gnu.org/es/blog/2023/the-full-source-bootstrap-building-from-source-all-the-way-down/), to address the widely ignored #TrustingTrust problem is being ported to/implemented by @nixos_org
It would be amazing to see it in @debian / @ubuntu too and I'm a bit puzzled about what the introduction of Rust might do to what we have accomplished?
In case you haven't heard it already: we at @fsi have started packaging software, to make awesome #FLOSS available to you #electronics and #chip #designers
Highlight so far include klayout and magic, which are now easily available to you #Guix users through simple invokations, like:
guix shell klayout -- klayout
or
guix shell magic -- magic
#GNU Guix not only allows for most up-to-date packages, #reproducible development and build environments and an absolute dedication to #freesoftware, it also eases contribution, extension and enhancement of already available solutions.
Check it out! Don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions!
