The nice thing about being up since 4am with the puppies was getting to enjoy the pretty pink sunrise on my walk with Ocean.
So nice to enjoy a beautiful moment of calm in between puppy chaos.

Golden Rescue, the rescue I adopted Ocean through, is now accepting adoption applications for Ocean’s puppies.
They are all very sweet, so cute and playful and their mom is the best.
I hope they will find great forever homes.

Off to Kingston with my mom to see the totality and grateful to have found a puppysitter for the day so we can enjoy the eclipse.
Spotted my first heron of the year yesterday at Brown’s Inlet.
I’ve never been so ready for a long weekend.
Looking forward to a weekend of naps, walks with Ocean, and puppy snuggles.
The puppy cuddle puddle cuteness makes up for the sleepless nights.
She’s such a great mom and doing such an amazing job taking care of all these babies.
The dog distribution system clearly overcompensated for poor Bo-Peep with all these puppies. They’re so precious and I know the rescue is going to find great forever homes for them.

I didn’t expect this week to involve puppies but Ocean, my recently adopted dog, unexpectedly gave birth to 11 puppies this week (we had no idea she was pregnant even though she went to the vet on Tuesday).
An unexpected week of chaos and cuteness.
Ocean was happy about the spring dusting of snow and enjoyed rolling in the fresh snow this morning.

And to be able to afford vet care. It’s definitely not cheap and I’m fortunate to have a good job that allows me to access vet care.

She was such a good girl, so brave.
It’s also such a relief that she’s now fully vaccinated.
Unfortunately she didn’t have access to vet care up north due to the limited number of vets.
Very lucky to have good vet access in Ottawa!

It’s a snowy Monday morning here in #Ottawa which was a bit surprising but I guess winter isn’t over just yet. My northern dog was excited and had lots of fun rolling in the snow this morning.

Great day of #Ottawa wanders yesterday and nice to have some company for some of my wanders (not all of them) with my favourite walking buddy.
