Tate #Rodermaker finished 12/25 for 134 yards for #FSU
Trey Benson finished with 95 yards off of 19 carries and rushed for 3 TDs for the #Noles
Johnny Wilson led #FSU receivers with 64 yards on 6 catches
#Gators QB Max #Brown finished 9/16 for 86 yards and 1 interception.
Montrell Johnson Jr. led #UF running backs with 107 yards on 18 carries.
The #Noles won their 2nd straight in the series, after #Florida won 3 in a row dating back to 2019 (No game in 2020 due to COVID)
The upshot for #Florida is a lot more questions than there are answers. What doomed the #Gators tonight (special teams blunders, unnecessary penalties, and general sloppiness pre-snap) has been a microcosm for the entire season.
Finishing 5-7 secures the #Gators 3rd consecutive losing season, something that had not happened in Gainesville since 1945-1947.
The 7 losses included blowouts to Utah, Kentucky, Georgia, LSU, and FSU. It is going to make for an uncomfortable offseason for #Napier.
The upshot for #FSU is finishing the regular season 12-0, and proving they can win in a tough environment after the Jordan Travis injury last week. The #Noles defense was impressive, particularly in the 2nd half, and the offense did enough to get out of Gainesville with a win.
The #Noles will play #Louisville, who will be coming off an upset in their rivalry game v. Kentucky, in Charlotte next weekend for the ACC Championship at 8pm.
As for the #Gators, this game marks the cap on a frustrating 2nd season for Billy #Napier.
The game seemed to get out of hand for #Florida in the 2nd quarter when Jamari #Lyons was ejected for spitting on an opponent. This led to #FSUs first score before half and swung momentum. #Gators were up 12-0 when the foul occurred, being outscored 24-3 after.
After the game, Mike #Norvell praised QB Tate #Rodermakers toughness, "you're part of this program, you're going to be tough.... It's not just what you do in the weight room or practice field. There's a mentality in all things that are in place for us." That mentality was on display in the 2nd half, outscoring the Gators 17-3 in the final two quarters.
#Seminoles intercept Max #Brown and that will do it. Heck of a job by Mike #Norvell and his staff. #Noles will get out of Gainesville with a 24-15 win over the #Gators.

#Gators with a nasty hit on #FSU QB #Rodermaker on 3rd and long and he is still down. #Seminoles pick up the first down on a targeting penalty on Jaydon Hill for the hit on #Rodermaker. Hill has been ejected. First down #FSU on the #Gators 33 with 3:45 left in the game.
The #Seminoles defensive line has taken this game over. Forcing a 3 and out and the #Noles will immediately get the ball back. #Gators offense has been inable to do much of anything since halftime. #Seminoles have 1st and 10 on their own 34. 5:37 left in the game.
#Rodermaker has done about all Mike Norvell and co. could have asked of him tonight. Converting a 4th down and 2 3rd downs on the previous drive. #Seminoles do end up settling for a field goal on the 2 yard line. #Noles 17, #Gators 15 with 7:17 left in the game.
#FSU with another delay of game in a drive they go 3 and Out. #Rodermaker and the #Noles offense are really battling crowd noise. The #Swamp is making an impact. #Gators with the ball at their own 30 yard line.
#Brown has been efficient for #UF, granted he hasn't been asked to do much. The backup QB is 7-10 for 74 yards. #Rodermaker has looked uncomfortable at times, but settled in on the TD drive, overall he is 7-13 for 72 yards. #Etienne and #Johnson have carried the load for the #Gators, combining for 115 yards in the first half.
