Drove by one of those big screen LED video billboard trucks (on three sides!) today and I did not care for it. Anyone hacked one with a flipper zero?
Band mate: “so this tune just has a hot for teacher like double bass shuffle”
Yes, but I can’t do that.
@tor_haxson is Josh Freese still their drummer?
@badastro I remember proving how this worked in a celestial mechanics course. Really not intuitive at all that this should be a thing!
@ferrix Oh! You inspired me to find it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_iridescence
@edwiebe Yes, of course. Once in a while I allow myself a tiny bit of magical thinking as a treat.
@ferrix “All of them?”
Signs.
@craiggrannell the temu spot just adds to the class

"We were sleeping. I’ve been sleeping. And I’ve been turning away from the truth I wanted not to face. There is a wound that won’t heal at the center of the galaxy. There is a darkness reaching like rust into everything around us. We let it grow, and now it’s here. It’s here, and it’s not visiting anymore. It wants to stay."
@MLE_online yay!
@MLE_online ah poop sorry
@MLE_online I do not currently, but often if you email the authors they are happy to send you a PDF. Done that many times.
@nikitonsky @siracusa that looks ridiculous
@ferrix Never saw them either before moving here. We had some mass beachings where there were many thousands recently. Not sure it means much as they are passive sailors.
A velella velella washed up on Seacliff Beach today. Usually it’s just the desiccated sails, but today some recent ones with coloration must have just come in.
