I am a liberal. The Democratic Party mostly aligns with what I want. The machinery of the Democratic Party is awful.
Zohran Mahmadi is an outstanding candidate. AOC is an outstanding legislator. These are the people I want.
The Democratic National Committee needs to resign en masse and let the liberals take over.
This was my kids' Father's Day gift for me.
What's your Armor Class?
Doctors: I've got a patient with a genetic disorder that results in serious executive dysfunction and memory issues that will never go away, and they need drugs.
Politicians: Cool, but there are bad people in the world so we're going to require your patient to remember to call, and then overcome executive dysfunction to call. Meanwhile we’ll convince therapists and pharmacists that the drugs are "as bad as meth" & ignore reality
Doctors: Uhh.
Politicians: cool. The law just passed.
@Moosjazz @pluralistic Would my baritone sax work?

Good thing I have a low G double sharp key on my bari. Some baris only have a C double flat key.
I have a few USB external drives for sale. 3 TB $30, 4 TB $40, 8 TB $80 single drives. 1 6 TB two-drive raid $70 (also accepts eSATA connection).
If you are in Austin, let me know if you are interested.

And the iPad could not be used for that either. I am happy they once again are investigating in the Mac. (3/3)
Having worked at Apple, I know for a fact that there are many, many Xcode projects that an iPad just could not do because of the restrictions the platform imposes. Since not only does every iOS developer in the world have to run Xcode somewow, and inside Apple, they still have to run Xcode to develop the build system for iOS, they had to have the Mac to still run Xcode. The cannot kill the Mac. They could have made it developer-only, but that would have ceded the creative market. (2/3)
@atpfm I have been a Mac and iOS developer for 37 years. I have been thinking a lot about when Apple pivoted back to the Mac, stopping their apparent effort to make the iPad the primary laptop-form computing platform that they would sell. My theory is that it was all about Xcode. Every single developer has to be able to run Xcode. No matter how much effort they put in, they would not be able to bring Xcode to the iPad. (1/3)
I am playing baritone sax (and possibly a little bit of other woodwinds) with the Austin Jazz Band at the Elephant Room on Congress in downtown Austin, Monday, April 28, 2005, from 7-9 PM. Come down into the basement and say hello! #music #livemusic #jazz #baritonesax #austin
@dexter You mean Lazlo? I knew some Lazlos in college. And, well, in tech.
Anyway, RIP, Chris Knight/Val Kilmer. I hope you are wearing your styrofoam antenna balls in heaven right now.

Of course, Knight is smarter and sexier that I was or will ever be, and Val Kilmer's looks have a lot to do with that. But his performance showed that subtle, soft underbelly of doubt extremely well.
This movie, and Wayne's World, captured my generation of white people in the USA extremely well. They are two of the classic Generation Jones/Generation X movies. I can watch this thing over and over again. (3/4)
Val Kilmer's character, Chris Knight, is a wacky, irreverent fellow, with a severe case of senioritis, and he is the foil to our 15-year old main character.
Of all of the characters I have ever seen in movies, Chris Knight is the one that I identify with the most. He is bright, cocky, quirky, and can be quite fun, but there is a hint of self-loathing, and he is arrogant as can be, and has severe problems with authority.
I am all of those things. (2/4)
