Fun fact: EAN codes that start 978 or 979 are used for books. Because EAN codes were country based, the industry invented Bookland for books—international. (ISBNs are regional!)

@ewen I really liked your (most?) recent video on B&W and shooting a familiar hometown location. Just nice, thoughtful, reflective, and, of course, to say the very least, not click-baity.
And I had not thought about shooting in b&w as an exercise in focusing on light, cutting out concerns of colour intensity etc. I never consider shooting in b&w but now I want to take a few of my own local strolls sans colour.

@Abrian nah, just skip to the end of the first season. Or start with season 2. If you’re curious. I put it off until I couldn’t any more.
Maybe after 20 hours of television Stockholm Syndrome has set in, but I thought S02 was spectacular, whereas I watched whole scenes of S01 at 1.5x speed.
The cast is still too soap-opera pretty and the plotting is too Prestige TV (I found the twists to be exhausting), but it was solid, fun piratey goodness.
TL;DR: BLACK SAILS is fun to watch and you can start on the second- or third-to-last episode of Season One without missing anything.
