@Techaltar Haha thanks! And congrats on the video, sorry I didn’t reply sooner!
I hope I’ll be able to do that collab in the future :)
YouTube content creator and Linux user living in Brest, Brittany. Might post gaming related stuff, especially if it runs on Linux, natively or not ! #linux #opensource #tech #gaming

@monotonehell Thanks! It’s hard to know when you’re looking at yourself, because it’s such a big change!
Man, I felt pretty insecure about the shaven head look (need to update the profile pic in here too), but the comments on YouTube have been insanely supportive, insane confidence boost!
I never thought I’d reach a point where YouTube comments would make me feel better 😂
As #Google search is getting increasingly bogged down with ads, Ai crap, and SEO is becoming a game Google is losing, I took a look at how you can "fix" some of Google's problems, and the alternatives that I personally use, or have used in the past, plus a few others I don't use but might be interesting.
Web search isn't in a good place right now, but there are solutions!
@projetslibres_podcast @Framasoft Ce n’est pas vraiment comparable, le mien s’appuie sur ma chaîne YouTube :)
Félicitations pour le succès !
@ojocle_olonam @h4ckernews Nice! I missed that!

Here is this week's #Linux and #OpenSource news show!
In this one, we have the beta for #KDE Plasma 6.4, with a lot of cool stuff coming, the US copyright office saying that Generative A.I. pushes the boundaries of fair use, and some big stuff happening around web search engines:
A channel's viewer was kind enough to send me an image to give a shot to #GNOME 1, and I decided to take a look at that version I had never used.
And, well, GNOME really lost a LOT of stuff in the transition from GNOME 1, to 2 and then to GNOME 3...

It's time for this week's #Linux and #OpenSource News video!
In this one, #GNOME finds a new direction with a new Director, #OpenSUSE removes the Deepin desktop from their repos due to security concerns, and Linux Mint starts accepting Libadwaita more into the distro:
It's been 2 years since I made a #Linux desktop environment Tier List (I was waiting for a stable Cosmic release...), so I felt it was time to get this thing out, because things have moved quite a bit in terms of how desktops work, and how I feel about them.
So, here's my ranking, and why I ranked each desktop as high, or as low as I did:
The latest version of the app is available:
🐙 on the app store for #iOS https://apps.apple.com/fr/app/peertube/id6737834858
🐙 on and the playstore for #android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.framasoft.peertube
🐙 …and being processed for F-Droid https://f-droid.org/packages/org.framasoft.peertube/
(BTW, thanks @davidrevoy for the iconic icon!)
A new version of that video is coming this week, with more up to date looks at all these desktops :)
@obrow Non, mais je note!
@dizzymiss_sammy lol yes?
@Idle_skrzypek Yeah I need to revise my backup strategy!
@AngryAnt I don’t backup my video projects, unfortunately, I save them manually to a hard drive when they’re published, but I need to set up something soon
@david I definitely like what they’re doing with it !
