This page started with a piece of indigo dyed fabric. It is actually a old wartime utility bandage, which dyes beautifully. Free machine stitch was inspired by the shibori made marks on the fabric. And my rather enthusiastic stitching created a few rips in the paper!

A strip across the page of blue fabric with irregular flower-like resist marks in white. Stitched with blue and white machine stitch.

On the Park Wall: I was inspired by some hydrangeas, I found growing in front of a rock, retaining wall in a nearby park. It's fun to explore more abstract representations of these beautiful snapshots I like highlighting the shape and texture through simplification. #Watercolor #NatureArt #Abstract

Watercolor painting with a gray, textured background and three clusters of hydrangea flowers represented with simple shapes and paint spatter.

Featherlight, Fragility and structure.
Sometimes my attention on animals is less about what they do but more about what they leave behind.

@Pamela1960 So I should just let it lay in nature where people throw it? and not use it?

1) People throw foam here away in nature.
I take it out and clean nature a little bit by this

2) Instead of buying new material (for example corrugated paper) which needs to be produced also. I use the old foam for my molds.

3) After demolding my pieces the foam molds (the foam that otherwise still would be laying around in nature) will be discarded through the proper channels.

River ripples and psychedelic reflections, for #MonochromeMarch

Overhead branches are reflected in the ripples and swirls of a fast-flowing river, the movement of the water turning the image into a psychedelic abstract painting of warped circles and converging lines

A late one for 'Schattenspiele' // 'shadow play' #FotoVorschlag

#Photography
Photo of a light brown building with a door on the right at ground level and a window directly over it on the floor above. To the left of the window, is a balcony with an open metal railing that casts a long shadow diagonally down across the door, crossing a sign that says 'CALLE DEI ORTI'. On the right is a white connector box, possibly for a phone line, with white cables running down to it and across to the left, towards the door.

A vast industrial maintenance tunnel rendered in dark, moody tones. A solitary figure walks through the cavernous space past massive ventilation fans, exposed pipes, and weathered concrete walls marked with red stripes. Dramatic shadows and scale emphasize the imposing, utilitarian architecture of this underground passage.
