Trump's press secretary Caroline Leavitt is straight up lying.

When confronted with the fact that a judge ruled, Trump cannot call up the national guard, she claims that Title 10 U.S. Code § 12406 gives Trump authority to do so. But that is untrue.

§ 12406 says, for Trump to do so, there has to be either (1) an invasion by a foreign nation, or (2) a rebellion, or (3) something else which makes the President unable to execute the laws of the US.

None of these conditions are met.
