I can honestly say, the bootleg edition of this week’s @atpfm was the first time I’ve ever had the urge to pull over the car and fuss at the children for arguing…
Though it must be said that I side with my favorite host on the issue in question.
Retired software engineer from SAS Institute. Political centrist. Election worker. I sometimes share dumb jokes.
"woke", n. Being open to new ideas, including the possibility of being wrong about something.

Downloading smaller viruses to my computer to help it build up an immunity.
@stephenrobles I think they changed it back to “Apple Home Hub HBO”
@stephenrobles In other news, Susan Smythington, flautist for the symphony orchestra, has reported suspicious stalking behavior to local police.
Authorities say they are seeking the wereabouts of a person-of-interest for questioning. A department spokesperson would only describe him as an affable tech reviewer.
I have no idea what the source of this image is, but yeah, I Laughed Out Loud.
My primary exposure to attempts at interpretation of the Book of Revelations came in the 70’s, courtesy of Hal Lindsey and books like “The Late Great Planet Earth”.
The antichrist was described as a glib charlatan who became a world leader. He accumulated power and seemed to earn the love and admiration of the masses for reasons based entirely on emotion and not reason.
This was “gospel” to many of my friends at the time, particularly in the Southern Baptist church.
Weird, right?
When leaders in government characterize protests against that government as “Un-American”, that tells you all you need to know about those leaders…
@andyprice “Code scabs”.
Possibly added to help fix a problem. Possibly left over from a previous injury. Might be a naturally occurring process. Best not to pick at them.
It definitely feels like, at the Federal level at least, there are almost no politicians left guided by ideology or moral compass. The guiding principal seems to only be the acquisition or curation of power.
That’s worth thinking about a lot with midterms coming up. Every House and a third of the Senate have to run for office again. How many of them are even remotely worthy of the office?

YouTube thumbnail “strategies” are having the opposite effect from the intended one on me these days. I’m searching for video content on a given topic (say, iPhone 17 Pro photograph), and I am finding that I just naturally skip over EVERY single video with a thumbnail of some exaggerated expression by the host.
Not only is it not appealing when I’m searching for a new video to watch, it is actively discouraging me from even learning what the video is like.
I wonder who the thumbnails work on?
