Guardian of an Intent. Product leadership. UX. Content design. Product marketing. Systems thinking and civic tech. Founder UX conference: outcomeconf.com

At the early stage of any work, I am most curious about:

—Why we work—why an org exists, how they hire, why they work
—What are their operating principles if any, for what goals
—What those goals mean to different people, functions, and segments
—What happens to our work after we quit a product or org? Who cares?

Product management
All things product management for business design, org design, and technology design.
UX
User experience, interactions, design
System thinking
A systems perspective into how we plan our digital products for team design, alignment and incentives, leadership and standards, frameworks and models, and the foundations of designing scalable products
Content strategy
Content strategy, content design, UX writing, and content-driven design for operations and supply chain.

This is unlike any other project in this category—"Call for Participation: The Future of Design 2026"

Quite a variety of themes that should interest many of us:
—The Decay of Craft (Error 404: Soul Not Found)
—The Automation of Thought (Warning: Deprecated Dependency)
—The Operational Wall (Critical Failure: Access Denied)

I do not understand anything on this page by Microsoft

* It asks me to sign in to learn more but I am already signed in. I cannot see any other Sign in option.
* I am not sure what top right means. Is it my top right or screen's top right?
* It cannot identify my device type?
* I am confused by the content structure—how the button is part of the text itself. There is no hierarchy either.

Microsoft has poor content design practices as this example shows.

Engineers plan and write code as if the customers directly use the code.

Customers have nothing to do with React libraries or Algolia or an unused token. Speak in their language and do yourself a favor, work with an experienced UXer.

If you are a UXer, do yourself a favor and work with a content designer or a product content strategist.

If you are a content designer or strategist, please be super patient if this is their first time with you.

A digital agency has an engineering heavy team–40+ engineers are supported by two junior designers and two mid level marketers. To raise their game and since they have the budget, they are hiring

— Design director: To set up design standards and design culture
— Marketing manager: To scale their marketing operations for strategy, and growth

Guess the missing link in their approach! 🧐

The strange new economics of negative electricity pricing: As clean energy surges, utilities that once urged restraint may sometimes need to reward households for using electricity—reshaping how virtue, value, and consumption collide.

Should a top Russian archaeologist face trial for digging in occupied Crimea?

A Russian archaeologist detained in Poland is at the centre of an intense debate over the role of museums and experts and the role they play in Kremlin war propaganda.

Every digital project is a civic tech project—all our digital interactions are part of, or intersect with, or are connected to our interactions in the society, and with the infrastructure and life around us.

The rise of AI content in marketing and sales enablement means that many organizations borrow the content and storytelling and which means that *product* is their most important strategic advantage now. This is why the consumer sentiment stakes are in the onboarding now, for the customers' success criteria, in their own language, and for their moments of joy.

The products who can build on this foundation are likely to do better than those who will set up content pipelines to build traffic.

The digital payments infra in Indian tech is horrible—I tried to use in 2018, 2020, and now in 2025. Totally clueless teams designing and marketing the payment services—unusable, and they don't know what they are doing.

And then we look at Stripe and Wise in the same category of products. It is not about the budgets or markets, this is about the product sense that shows in interactions, usability, marketability, support, and building the confidence in the communication.

The biggest problem with product designers in doing wireframes or mockups was that they rarely had the right content ready for the designs. But they knew that content was that gap.

With AI design tools, that problem is more critical now because these tools generate random content and now designers will use that content not knowing that the content might not be good enough. For them, there is no gap and this state of not-knowing is even more concerning for the product vision and the org goals.

"AI compliant"—what an oxymoron!
"AI compliant content"—what a metaoxymoron!

—There was a time when orgs were not competing for content at all.
—Then we saw them competing for content for the volume.
—Then we saw them competing for the content quality.
—Now again we do not see them competing at all. Because they can write AI content within seconds.

Guess who has the advantage now?
