My curiosity began because on one hand I'm hearing Linus Torvalds talk about the joy he finds in coding and Amjad Masad on the other hand arguing that coding is objectively burdensome but only using his own experience as a point of reference.

Last year I divested from #spotify to consume music more intentionally and pay directly to artists or via #bandcamp and now I'm taking it a ridiculous step further in my nostalgia for physical media. I merged all the tracks of each album as a single file. No more track skipping. Just play.

@jeff_3ix Totally get that! I do too but I'm usually at home on wifi when I need access to that so that's when my SIMless iPhone comes out. I've found that when I'm out and about I don't really need it and things can wait till I'm back at the desk.

@jeff_3ix I'm kinda in transit right now. I have a Light Phone as the thing I carry around with me all the time but there are things like my banking app and some other things here and there that I really need to keep my iPhone 12 Mini around. My plan right now is since Apple is likely to support the 12 mini until 2027, I wanna see what the development landscape looks like by then.

I wanna see how Fairphone continues to develop.
