Согласно докладу Министерства обороны США о закупках военной техники на 2025 финансовый год, армия США планирует (https://armyrecognition.com/news/army-news/2025/exclusive-us-army-to-procure-689-m109a7-howitzers-through-2050-as-part-of-major-artillery-modernization-effort) закупить 689 самоходных гаубиц M109A7 калибра 155 мм до 2050 года в рамках масштабной программы модернизации артиллерии и поддерживать их в эксплуатации как минимум до этой даты. Эта модернизация связана с отказом от программы NLOS-C (Non-Line of Sight Cannon, программы замены M109) в 2009 году и необходимостью заполнить образовавшийся пробел в возможностях. M109A7, являясь частью программы Paladin Integrated Management (PIM), обеспечит поддержку бронированным и механизированным пехотным дивизиям в течение следующих нескольких десятилетий.

A few thoughts on #Ukraine the #War going forward. Im really interested what others think about it!
1st. Ukraine will now play #defense. As @anderspuck has pointed out in his latest, good as always video, Ukraine communicates that there won't be an offensive any time soon. That could be deception but I doubt it. Why?
A) The #Russian continuous assaults skews #attrition heavily in Ukraines favour. A ratio of up to 20/1 for #Avdiivka was mentioned iirc, however even if only half is correct its still massive. However expect minor loss of territory.
B) Ukraine will wait for key tech (#F16) & improved supply (#155mm shells) and further systems (#Tank, #IFV, #Mine clearing, #ATACAMS) before trying again.
C) The current russian #Air #terror against cities and infrastructure seems to be ineffective, with Ukraine shooting down almost all of #Shaheed send. However, it could be, that #Russia saves better #Missiles for a concentrated strike later on.
