I really enjoyed 28 Years Later.

It is a weird film, but I think it genuinely builds on the zombie genre and finds a unique balance of beauty and darkness, depth and silliness.

From what I can see, people who dislike it mostly hate it for plot holes and the bizarre ending. I will not spoil anything by going into details but i was willing to suspend disbelief a little to let the film explore this post apocalyptic zombie world, and simultaneously make some poignant meta commentary on post-Brexit UK.

And I agree that the ending is bizarre, but it is clearly a cliffhanger for the Bone Temple, and in that sense it really does work.

8/10 good fun, would watch again.

#28YearsLater #TheBoneTemple is so good. But I found a glairing problem. It does something facinating with zombies that really surprised me. But they way it does it repeats a trope that is not great. And prob could have been an easy fix.

I'll also say, I did not get to seeing the first 28 Years. So may be missing things. It's on my list. But I was able to enjoy this by and large.

Also personally I think it's funny that it's a full 1.1 stars over 28 Years Later on IMDB.

I fully expect this is solely down to everyone who wanted a generic zombie flick knowing to stay away.

For what it's worth I think 28 Years Later is overall better than The Bone Temple, but both are fantastic.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. Like the first 28 Years Later, brilliant. Like it, not a straightforward zombie movie.

It's another bonkers film but if 28YL was five films rammed together, somehow not crowding each other out, TBT is "just" two very different films eventually combining.

Just as a forewarning, though overall the film is compassionate in message, it is brutal. Much moreso than 28YL. Really not for the squeamish.

The more I've thought about 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, the more I like it. The thematic depth of certain elements really elevate what was already a very good movie. Nia DaCosta's undefeated reign continues unabated.

It's gained a full point out of 10 since I saw it and may well be my favorite film in the franchise so far. #28YearsLater

I enjoyed the second 28 Years Later.

Good silly fun, decent story progression, excellent music as always.

Saw 28 years later and it was ... okay. The story and the characters were only mildly interesting, and the gore was too toned down because of the age 15 rating. It could have been more fun if they'd amped up that.
