Een bigband is een muzikaal ensemble vooral geassocieerd met het spelen van jazzmuziek. Bigbands werden bijzonder populair in de jaren 30 en 40 van de 20e eeuw tijdens de periode van de swing. Een bigband bestaat gewoonlijk uit ongeveer 12 tot 25 muzikanten en omvat saxofoons, trompetten, trombones en een ritmesectie.
