Another type of game I love... among many are the 4X strategy games. You know Explore, Expand, Exploit, and Exterminate?
Of course, the most famous of these games are probably the Civilization series of games. in fact those sort of games I'd totally be happy to join the online community of, of course, then I'd be known as 'That guy that loses before ten turns are finished.'
Still, I love these sort of games, and I am always looking for new ones like that as well, I discovered the Age of Wonders series a few years ago, and while I only played Planetfall and AoW4 from those series, I think they are great.
Stellaris is also a standout one for me as well.
I guess if I had to say a NEGATIVE about these sort of games is that BALANCE isn't that great usually, there's always tierlists. And not ALL 4X games are great of course, but that's true for every game genre.
I love #turnbased strategy and #4X #games because they give me full control over every decision without the pressure of real-time reactions. I enjoy #building empires, #managing resources, and #planning several moves ahead. Every choice matters — whether it’s expanding my territory, negotiating with rivals, or preparing for war. It’s incredibly rewarding to see a long-term plan succeed. These games test my patience, intelligence, and adaptability.

So, it's been like 7 yeas since I was deep into #EndlessSpace2, but that game was great. And while the first #EndlessLegend felt too fiddly for me, it still was a very creative fantasy 4X with a great variety of unit options. #AmplitudeStudios has a ton of experience making 4X games, and I'm hopefully they knock it out of the park with #EndlessLegend2.

感觉上了大当，在b站看到本作被归到种田类（确实有种田……）才上手的，结果是_背景架设在中世纪、将童话故事的种种元素以采集品形式放在里面的儿童版 #文明 (真的因为游戏里连酒都没有酿造厂产品是葡萄汁……）
因为是儿童版所以难度很低，标准档我在没使用任何修改和查阅攻略（也查不到什么有用信息……）的情况下也很轻松就上手了。我感觉一般玩家一个存档累计玩8小时就差不多能玩到目前所有能玩到的元素了（我不太擅长这类游戏所以12个小时多还没搞定人口增长和国家稳定运行间的矛盾）
玩的时候感受到了很多以往在科普里读到过的理论，比如游戏里开矿伐木等都要倚赖固定资源分布，然后围绕资源点开发住宅和后加工设施的时候就感觉掣肘，像农田就统一搞集体生产比较经济（每开一个设施都多一分钱）；但如果真的按农业工业行政住宅这样划分了反而会拖慢建设速度而且小人们会饿死，因为祂们会花大量时间在区域间搬运物资以及回家吃饭……
哦对了这游戏没有任何交通和物流体系（
So I picked #Millennia during the #SteamSale, and I'm really impressed. It innovates on the #Civilization formula in ways that are mechanically interesting and fun. The biggest one is ability to enter alternate history "ages" that mix up the game rules. So far, my poor sanitation plunged the world into an Age of Plague that killed huge amounts of the population and forced all nations to devote resources to stemming the tide of the disease.
