Now it took a twist, a happy one, Dr. Feelgood - She Does It Right.

Does anybody in that audience understand that they are in the presence of the one an only Wilco Johnson (RIP) who would influence some of the greatest guitarists of the post-punk movement.

He also cut Ned Starks head off in Game of Thrones :)

and that's it. I'm leaving Spasticus Autisticus playing in my headphones and I'll turn it off when I'm dressed.

This is how you create a rock n’ roll classic

You're in between takes, foolin' around in the studio, and Bonzo's amusing himself with some of his fav drum intros. Jimmy joins in after Bonham's take on Little Richard's You Keep A-Knockin catches his ear. Luckily, the tapes kept rolling and 15 minutes later, we have Rock 'n Roll.  It's released with Four Sticks as a 7 inch single on February 21, 1972.

Blueprint

The 4th from one of my favorite guitarists is released on February 18, 1973. Blueprint saw Roryt incorporating a keyboardist into his band for the first time. The album's title and artwork were inspired by the blueprint of a custom Stramp "Power Baby" amplifier designed for Gallagher. Turn it up. The Kick Inside

Kate was only a teenager when she undertook the highly ambitious project to rewrite a centuries-old ballad. She released The Kick Inside on February 17, 1978. The album features the UK No. 1 hit "Wuthering Heights", which made Kate the first female artist to reach the top spot with a self-written song. Burn

February 15, 1974 ~ Deep Purple morphs their sound and releases Burn, featuring the "Mark III line-up" of David Coverdale who had replaced Ian Gillan on lead vocals and Glenn Hughes on bass, replacing Roger Glover. The pursuit of perfect by Richie Blackmore was starting to get tiresome .. at least for me. Listen to Burn by Deep Purple on Amazon Music ...

Eat A Peach

Every time I'm in Georgia, I eat a peach for peace ... ~ Duane Allman February 12, 1972. The Allman Brothers Band release Eat A Peach. How the album got its name is best told by Dacey Orr Sivewright in a piece she did a few years back in Garden & Gun.

When I'm tired and thinking cold
I hide in my music, forget the day
And dream of a girl I used to know
I closed my eyes and she slipped away
She slipped away
