Oh man, another blast from my past, I loved playing this on the #NES with my brother growing up.
Seeing it played during #AGDQ recently was fascinating to see compared to my fond yet flawed memory of such a quirky little gem!

Last week I saw a speedrun of Ori and the blind Forest on #AGDQ and was reminded of me wanting to play this or some other modern Metroidvania like Hollow Knight in the nearer future. 🍃
Luckily there is a demo for the first Ori title on Switch which immediately made me order the retail version of the Switch collection consisting of both Ori titles. 🛒
It arrived today, so this will be a Metroidvania weekend. 📮

And yet here is the all romances speedrun for Fallout: New Vegas by the wonderful Tomatoanus.
This is the most insane thing I've seen so far at #AGDQ - a speedrun of New Super #Mario Bros Wii with one controller strapped to the head, the other as a foot pedal, all while playing game music live on the piano.
And you wanna watch all the way to the end, since there's also a bonus involving a blindfold...

Par contre, un speedrun #AGDQ de Crazy Taxi. AVEC UN GROUPE EN LIVE, qui refait l'OST (et son batteur qui tient la mesure pendant toute la run), et un public chaud. Ça oui !
The end of #AGDQ yesterday has left my 8-year-old with a list of games he’d like to play today. So far we’ve completed an any% run of Super Mario World.
Watching one of the #AGDQ speedruns and shouting at the runner. They're playing Tomb Raider (2013) and keep calling her "Laura".
Even if you're not familiar with the series, they pronounce her name many times IN THE GAME!

What a great week of games, too. It's always fun seeing people show off their skills on games they love playing.
Now we get to look forward to watching Summer Games Done Quick in July, heh heh

AGDQ war auch dieses Jahr wieder eine Woche voller toller Speedruns. Es hat so viel Spaß gemacht die vielen engagierten Gamer*innen zu sehen die sich für einen guten Zweck zusammenfinden und einfach nur Freude verbreiten.
Noch dazu eine willkommene Ablenkung von anderen Dingen dieser Tage.
Jetzt heißt es warten, bis im Sommer SGDQ wieder in den Startlöchern steht.

Eddie said something in the pre-race discussion about machine learning being used in the randomizer? I'm curious to know what sort of ML they might be using.
