Ayer vi "El peor vecino del mundo".

La película me gustó bastante, voy a evitar detalles, porque no es lo que quería comentar.

Con sólo ver el título original "A Man called Otto" y un texto avisando muy seriamente sobre el suicidio ya conseguí ajustar mis expectativas con respecto a mis prejuicios.

El título "El peor vecino del mundo" unido a un trailer con un lenguaje musical que transmite optimismo, con muchísimos momentos clave divertidos de la película en que se ve al protagonista siendo un ocurrente cascarrabias y una narración que habla de abrir el corazón daban a entender que el "viaje" del protagonista es algo muy diferente al que realmente es. Esto no es "Mejor imposible".

Si vais a verla evitad el trailer, que os reventará los pocos acontecimientos divertidos de la película. Y si lo habéis visto, sabed que la película tiene un tono mucho más serio.

Listening to the English audiobook of "A Man Called Ove" by Fredrik Backman narrated by J.K. Simmons. While I enjoyed Tom Hanks in the English film adaptation, Simmons would have made a truly FANTASTIC Ove / Otto. I don't normally do audiobooks (I have a book group that I really need to finish the book for) but this one has been nice.

Beoordeling:

Op voorhand wil ik aangeven dat ik het Zweedse origineel niet gezien heb. Dat beïnvloedt voor diverse recensenten en filmkijkers hun oordeel blijkbaar. Maar ik ga gewoon uit van wat ik gezien heb in A man called Otto. Wat een prachtige film: het is zo’n emotioneel verhaal met ook veel humor. En naast Tom Hanks is ook de rest van de cast erg goed. Maar Hanks laat met deze film wel weer zien dat hij een hele grote is en niet voor niets.

Visto #AManCalledOtto, remake statunitense con Tom Hanks del film svedese tratto dal libro. Nel trailer si vede questo vecchio vicino scorbutico che, quando arriva la nuova famiglia messicana, man mano diventa sempre meno burbero. Tag di Amazon Prime (su cui è disponibile): "comedy" "drama" "fun".
BE', NON È FUN PER NIENTE, HO PIANTO COME NON PIANGEVO DA NON SO QUANTO TEMPO FILM BELLISSIMO MA TENETEVI UN PACCHETTO DI FAZZOLETTI. Poi, oh, tratta una marea di temi in modo magistrale e dolcissimo, in primis la solitudine dell'anzianità, ma riesce anche a metterci dentro la difesa delle persone transgender. Però è tostino. Mi è venuto mal di testa da quanto ho pianto.
Difetti: il gatto in CGI è fatto malino e la gestione del lunghissimo periodo in cui è ambientato, tra flashback e timeskip è piuttosto carente (ok che hanno usato il figlio di Tom per fare Otto da giovane, ma non gli assomiglia per niente e poi come fai ad usare le stesse attrici per le bambine *tre anni dopo*?)
Lato super positivo: usare un attore trans per rappresentare il personaggio trans. (e anche non dire mai il deadname è una buona idea)
