AP1000® technology: One AP1000 plant avoids approximately 7 million metric tons of CO² emissions. This is equivalent to taking approximately 1.5 million passenger vehicles off the road. One plant can power approximately 750,000 homes annually.

AP300™ SMR: One AP300 small modular reactor avoids approximately 1.85 million metric tons of CO² emissions. This is equivalent to taking approximately 400,000 passenger vehicles off the road. One SMR can power approximately 195,000 homes annually.

eVinci™ microreactor: One eVinci microreactor avoids approximately 55,000 metric tons of CO² emissions. This is equivalent to taking approximately 10,000 passenger vehicles off the road. One microreactor can power approximately 5,000 homes annually.

#Westinghouse unveils small modular #nuclearreactor
The Small modular reactor (#SMR), dubbed #AP300 for its planned 300MW capacity, will not use special fuels or liquid metal coolants unlike some other next-generation #nuclear reactors. It will be a smaller version of its #AP1000 reactor, several of which are operating in #China, and which are ramping up in Georgia at the Vogtle plant, after years of delay and billions of dollars over budget.
