Linux ha tantissime DISTRO e DE (distribuzioni e tipi di desktop) quasi tutte ottime, dipende solo dai propri gusti o esigenze.

Dopo averne provate tante, mi sono focalizzato su queste due.

Dopo 4 mesi di uso assiduo (circa 10 ore al giorno, dovute alla mia situazione fisica) è il momento di tirare la somma per ArchLinux.

Arch è un distribuzione a rilascio progressivo, che nella configurazione che ho scelto (senza installer), consente all’utente di configurarsi a piacere TUTTO il sistema, dalla partizione del disco, alla creazione del bootloader, all’installazione della scheda wi-fi, bluetooth, tastiera, ecc …

Sicuramente occorre tanta pazienza e una buona conoscenza di base di Linux, ma è un’opportunità unica per apprenderne davvero il funzionamento.

Per farla breve, è stata un’ottima esperienza.

Mio malgrado, sono tornato al mio precedente amore … Debian.

Vi chiederete il perché … semplice … il tempo a mia disposizione.

Arch è bellissimo, ma gli devi stare costantemente dietro, gli aggiornamenti software sono multi-giornalieri e spesso da studiare. Non ho il tempo, ho accumulato troppi impegni 😅

A sua differenza, Debian è più … come dire … cauto. Prima di farti aggiornare qualcosa, lo testa e ritesta allo sfinimento, rendendo la macchina molto stabile, anche se non con l’ultimo software.

Ora ho bisogno di questo, tempo e stabilità, quindi tolgo #Arch e rimetto #Debian.

Ach, ich mag einfach #OpenSource🥰 . In letzter Zeit ein paar #Bugs reportet, zum #Linux #Kernel, #Treiber und #Gnome. Ging relativ schnell bis Fixes da waren und sind teilweise auch schon im #Arch Repo angekommen. Macht einfach Spaß zu sehen wie das Betriebssystem immer besser wird, vor allem wenn man selbst ein kleines bisschen mit geholfen hat. #BugReport
