A passage in a book just triggered a memory of something I'd long forgotten, and which I now see in the light of #ADHD - while studying music (and specifically certain singing classes), I was criticized for closing my eyes, which I sometimes do while signing or playing piano. I was told it shuts me off from my audience. Thing is, it connects me to my inner spirit and helps shut out the constant judgement. I'm at my most vulnerable performing, so it's reflexive. Now I see the #ableist BS
