Over the past few months, I went to two core #repositories to sample several #marine #sediment cores and meet some of my new #collaborators in person.
First, the LSCE (Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l’Environnement UMR 8212) core repository in mid-April.
Second, the EPOC (Environnements et Paléoenvironnements Océaniques et Continentaux UMR 5805) core repository in early June.
Hopefully, these core repository visits would be the first of many!

@ryanmarcus Good of you to post this 🙂 I'm long gone from academia myself, but at no point during my academic career did anyone ever explain to me that this was expected or useful, nor that this is what academics mean when they refer to a "personal website". (TBH I think the term of choice should be "professional website" or something like that, but that hardly seems worth worrying about)

There's 2 lists I want to bring to attention. First one, the #ActivityPub #fediverse experience. It needs more open science entries 💪

🔍 What are we studying when we talk about toposequences?

A recent article reviews 1,000+ papers and identifies three main approaches to the term, but only one aligns with its original meaning.
