Falls übrigens jemand weitere Post-Rock-/Post-Doom Empfehlungen hat, die mit #GodIsAnAstronaut zu vergleichen sind (Hauptkriterium: keine oder sehr sparsam eingesetzte Vocals): gerne her damit. Bin da über Jahre nur so am Rande interessiert gewesen und kenne nur eine Handvoll Bands/Projekte (z.B. #AHAB, #OmegaMassif, #TARS) und würde gerne meinen Horizont in diese Richtung erweitern. 🙂

Finally got around not only to listen to #Ahab but to see them live at the same time. I absolutely have to agree with @lpl that their sound is glacially slow and deep, which makes the charm of it. It’s a sound that rides over you. Very slowly. 😄 Paradoxically, I think I would need a lot of brain capacity to appreciate this live. But seeing them at the end of a long festival day, I was just too sleepy to follow.
I think they really added to the line up, and quite a lot of people stayed late to see them. I left early and a little sad. All things considered, I think I like their music better on the sofa.

@koeln Da warte ich sehnsüchtigst drauf, dass #AHAB mal nach Köln kommen, lese eifrig diesen Feed wegen der Konzertankündigungen für die nächsten Wochen und Monate - und sie werden eine Stunde vor ihrem Auftritt hier das erste Mal überhaupt erwähnt. Jetzt komm ich da natürlich nicht mehr hin. Ach, wie ärgerlich. 😩
edit: Erleichterung, als ich feststellen muss, dass das wohl die "falschen" AHAB sind. Das könnte noch lustig werden, bei der unterschiedlichen Musik, die die Bands jeweils spielen. 😁
