First page of 'Here, There and Above- A stream of consciousness', by Federico Kempke. In this page we go through various images of an airport. The tarmac, the planes flying away, people looking at time tables, people going through security. Narration reads: 'Airports are the bane of my existence... Due to my living circumstances I find myself spending a lot of time at them. According to an article by News 24, the average north american will take about 6.5 flights per year. I fit somewhere in that startistic. Throughout the years I've been to countless cities and airports I would have otherwise never visited. A little glimpse into the world beyond the glass. It is amazing what people will put up with in order to travel. I remember a time when you were allowed to walk all the way to the boarding gates without a ticket or security check. Nowadays labyrinthic lines and scanners that can see you naked are required as part of the experience.'

In this page we see more images of airports. The fast food court, people sleeping on uncomfortable benches, buying expensive duty free souvenirs. We see shapes of figures, the outside of an airport where cars are parked. Narration reads 'Countless overpriced meals and Fast Food have been consumed at these places. Sleepless nights. Last minute souveniers... Crossing paths with people you might never meet again. From places you might never get to see. A little microcosm of the planet and a petri dish of humanity. And the people come in all shapes and flavours; some of the wildest and most interesting specimens of humanity passing through, trying to get to their destinations. Regardless, there are some airports I visit more often than others and after a number of trips their dullness starts to transform into routine and maybe even a hint of endearing. They start feeling like a second home you get to share with a few thousand people at any given time. You start finding your favorite restaurants. Favorite seating spots, people watching areas.'.

In the third panel we see a plane flying away. Narration reads 'Sometimes you get a little glimpse into the secret business going on behind the closed doors and your mind can't help but let your imagination run wild as to what happens here. A whole mysterious world few are privileged to witness. In the end, you accept airports as you accept a visit to the market or the mall. Sometimes you just have to go there so you might as well find a way to enjoy them. So yes, airports are the bane of my existence but they are also endlessly fascinating and they are here to stay until we come up with a more efficient way to travel long distances. ... Of course due to systemic inefficiencies, and non-cooperation from certain US States, the list of participating #TSAcheckpoints is not complete.

Many key US #Airports supporting #GoogleWallet and / or #AppleWallet digital IDs at select #checkpoints include major hubs like ATL , BWI , HNL, ORD , PHX, LAX ,SFO , DEN, IAH . Some states are not fully on board with the tech yet including major destinations like Florida, or Hawaii which accepts Apple but not Google devices, so travelers are warned to still bring physical ID as a backup... And if you don't, expect to be billed $18 by TSA for an impromptu #biometric scan.

Since debuting in August, travelers have been verifying #ID with a facial video scan; using either #NFC or QR codes at #TSA checkpoints by holding up an unlocked cellular phone —here's links to more info, which states are actually on board, or have their own in req'd apps, and the basics on how it works.

so I am going through domestic checking at ORTambo. Go though the luggage scan and then at the end of the scan, the guy wants to do a search of my hand luggage. I ask him what he is looking for... cant tell me. But says it is a Random Search. So I ask again. He says it is Random and they do it with every 10th bag. I tell him that if it is every tenth bag, it's not random. He looks confused. I say, if it is the 10th bad, then the 7th then the 15, then it might be random, but every tenth is NOT random, no matter what his supervisor tells him.
