I haven't been able to determine the species of the bug because there are hundreds, but the beetle has a shiny black body and orange elytra with black spots. The flower is very common and stands out against a bright ochre background.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Un meloido o escarabajo meloideo alimentándose en una flor de escabiosa. No he podido determinar la especie porque existen centenares, pero el escarabajo tiene el cuerpo negro brillante y unos elitros anaranjados con manchas negras. La flor es muy habitual y destaca contra un fondo ocre brillante.

𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): A blister beetle feeding on a wild herbaceous plant that no longer has flowers, although it does have some tiny buds. I also haven't been able to identify the plant, which stands out against a very pale background.

𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): Close-up of a corn bunting perched atop a leafless broom, yet full of spring buds. The "Fat Bird in the Barley," very common in the open fields of southern Europe but very rare in the British Isles, perches on bushes and branches to sing in spring. This time, its back is turned, but it's looking at the photographer, who can't believe how trusting this bird is.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Primer plano de un escribano triguero posado sobre una retama sin hojas, pero llena de brotes primaverales. El pajarito, muy común en los campos abiertos de Castilla, es en cambio muy raro en las Islas Británicas; suele posarse en las ramas más altas de los arbustos para cantar en primavera. Esta vez, está de espaldas, pero mira al fotógrafo, quien no puede creer lo confiado que es con un ser humano.

𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗻𝗴): A female Northern Wheatear perched on the top of a espalier support used for tutoring vines. As we saw it in early April, we assume this intrepid little bird recently arrived from sub-Saharan Africa and is about to begin building her nest for laying eggs.

𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 (𝗘𝘀𝗽): Una hembra de Collalba Gris posada en el extremo superior del tutor de una espaldera artificial para vides. Como estamos a principios del mes de abril, suponemos que este intrépido pajarito no hace mucho que ha llegado del África Subsahariana y se dispone a iniciar la construcción de su nido para la puesta.
