#ThrowbackThursday to my honeymoon when my wife and I got to be king and queen of the castle for a few hours. We were driving around Spain, saw a random (to us) fortress on a hill, drove over, and ended up having the entire place to ourselves. The Fortaleza de la Mota / Castle of Alcalá la Real is a restored 13th century fortress/castle with a long and interesting history, almost none of which shows up in the English-language Wikipedia entry. Nice spot for a castle, don't you think?
