Initially it did look as though other countries were so affected by the shock that they would become resolute in their opposition to #fascism. But now many elsewhere (especially in the #UK!) seem to be treating our nightmare as the new normal, and listening to the same tired, vile old propaganda against immigrants, transgender people, and so on.
Haven't they learned anything? Don't they see that that leads straight to kidnappings by masked thugs showing no credentials but claiming to be law enforcement; to concentration camps from which inmates mysteriously vanish, like #AlligatorAuschwitz; to deployment of the military in their own streets against their own people; to dismantling of social services (which they relied on more than we ever did!); to #censorship of scientific knowledge, defunding of research, and intimidation of universities and the media?
