Child's love

Children's affection is recognizable quite visibly the younger children are. The adult pigeon seems rather comfortable, there's still quite a time left until this seemingly unconditional love disappears and the offspring grows. Not a child anymore, nor an adult yet. From time to time it disappears on both sides. In such times a child might try to find the affection elsewhere yet a young mind doesn't recognize certain patterns and can end up being exploited. This look of the small chick metaphorically reminds me of descriptions in one book. A young girl, like the chick, full of hopes and the felt affection crumbling until she finds herself with barely any. An art class emerges, the teacher needs only a few crafty words, not even some sophisticated manipulation, just listening. Great book, nasty things.

Ghost of the forest

It's not an ordinary day when you see a white deer. Even more astonishing when it's a stag. Various places have special mythologies related to the white deer from Celtic through Native American and even Japanese. Sending Arthurian knights on adventures, leading to establish nations, leading the world to wisdom or listening to sermons. Bad luck to kill one, passing messages between the worlds and, if caught, granting wishes. It's always a pleasure to meet one, especially this close.
