I was called "delusional" by my former partner for masking and continued Covid precautions. I was accused of significant levels of anxiety which did not correlate to my behavior or internal experience. All of this has been documented. Presumption of "health anxiety" was mentioned in writing, in reference to said Covid precautions and discussing possible Long-Covid symptoms.

As a former mental healthcare worker I take claims against people's 'sanity' very seriously. I know how one misinterpreted sentence can lead to involuntary commitment and how it can be weaponized against others.

These were some of the main reasons I decided to confront my ex and ask for accountability. There were others, but those were mostly inaccurate projections and perceptions of my thoughts, beliefs, intent, and motivations. Those were disparaging of my character, but they did not seem to be as potentially detrimental to myself in terms of legal and bodily safety or autonomy.

I remembered recently that within the last five years or so this person tried to convince me to let them take out a life insurance policy under my name. I did not consent or agree.

I am writing about this in specific detail in case of any unforeseen calamity that might occur. Otherwise I would not share this sort of information publically. Please remember to question narratives and ask more questions in general.

Okay since I'm seeing some #AntiPsychiatry I love it when my #psychiatrist tells me "both of these meds help ___ condition so I feel uncomfortable prescribing that," even when those medications aren't unsafe together. Thanks for the slap in the face doc.

Fuck, if I received help for my #depression first with wellbutrin it's very comforting to know ignorant attitudes would have prevented me from getting the treatment I needed with stimulant medication. 😮‍💨 God forbid I try to add a non stimulant that would also help my #cPTSD as well. I guess the feelings of my psychiatrist are prioritized above my quality of life in this system. :/

My fucking headmate thought it was an excellent and hilarious fucking idea to schedule a neurologist appointment on the day our father died of brain cancer nine years prior and then make me handle it. At least Lazarus had the fucking foresight to get it switched to a virtual appointment several damn days ago so I didn’t have to go anywhere.

I’m never letting Mr. Batshit For Brainholes schedule anything ever again. This wasn’t fucking funny.

The online autistic community is so alienating it sometimes makes me feel like I shouldn't call myself autistic anymore. I don't conform to their stereotypes or values at all. I know the definition of "autism" has been changing since the concept was created but it's still weird how a word I once strongly related to now doesn't express what I want to express at all. Maybe that's for the best. Maybe it's not good to cling to a psychiatric label in the first place...

If you support the abolishment of the police force but do not do the same for psychiatry, we call that a hypocrite.

The psychiatric system isn't too far off the law enforcement. Both groups have the arbitrary power to take away your autonomy and isolate you for non-reasons. Both groups don't want the best for you.

You may argue sure, your local therapist and your local D-tier newbie cop maybe didn't harm you.

But truth be told... this is maybe like one good apple among an ocean of rotten fruits that poison the entire environment.

Psychiatrists are the cops of medical system. Don't trust them just like you don't trust a cop.

Still resentful of every single therapist or mental health worker I've ever interacted with - which were A LOT over the course of 20 years - for only ever encouraging bravery in the form of emotional vulnerability. If that. Some discouraged me or even got mad at me for expressing feelings.

Yes, emotional vulnerability is important. And it is bravery. But we also need to be encouraged to be brave via actions. To stand up to abusers. To organise politically. To fight oppression and climate crises.

I only started becoming brave after I stopped therapy. And my mental health is improving more rapidly than ever.
