This is a black and white photo of the Art Deco Chrysler Building on Lexington Ave in New York City (2012).
The camera is tilted upwards at a steep angle towards the top of this historic and iconic Manhattan high-rise. The image is composed around the centre of the Lexington Ave facade which has rendered to a medium grey or silver tone made up of masonry tiles or bricks and rectangular windows with highly reflective metal being used decoratively towards the top. The building is slightly tiered, the lower floors being broader than those higher up. There are six columns of windows in view, arranged in pairs with a wide vertical strip of masonry dividing each pair. There are about thirty-five floors in view in the centre (out of a total of seventy-seven) with less in the outer tiers of the building. Towards the top, the masonry arches over forming a semicircle with the stainless steel forming multiple arches above, each one smaller than the one below, forming a spire - the spike on the top being just in view. In two if the corners of the centre square section of the building, on the sixty-first floor, are two large and ornate stainless steel, Gargoyle like Eagles that protrude outwards overhanging the building by a few metres.
Above is a clear and cloudless sky, rendered jet black.

b&w - A tightly framed photo of the De Kroon and Wijnhaven residential towers in downtown The Hague. The building on the left, De Kroon, features a repetition and multitude of floor-to-ceiling windows and its design is inspired by the Chicago skyscrapers from the early 1900s. The building on the right is interspersed with what seems like randomly placed balconies.

The Gatekeeper on Kidston Terrace in the Gorbals area of Glaagow. It was created by Matt Baker in 2002 to mark the 3rd complete rebuilding of the local area in the last 150 years. Made of bronze and twice life-size, as far as I know, it's the only suspended public sculpture in the UK.

A high-contrast, black and white photo looking straight up at a geometrically patterned ceiling or skylight structure. The structure is composed of a grid of square or diamond-shaped openings created by intersecting beams made of concrete. The beams are dark, silhouetted against the lighter sky or ceiling visible through the openings. At the intersection of the beams, there are circular, dark fixtures or decorative elements. The pattern is repetitive and extends to the edges of the frame, creating a strong sense of symmetry and depth.

Slightly underexposed, maybe, but the shadows tell a story. You can't make a banger all the time. Which one do you prefer. The one with white och black border? ☕
