hey ! looking for experiences on #UPS to be #rack ed, like 1/2U, integration in #librenms (so #snmp and #linux support) for 2x #Arista 7050 , a server, a management oobm switch ( 2960 ) and some small stuff. Im aiming at durability and option to swap batteries, possibly ethernet for mgmt.

I'm looking for alternatives to APC, would Eaton be a good option ? Other ideas ?

It was re-recorded in 2003 with vocals by #AlexBand of #theCalling and released as the third single in the United States on June 16, 2003. Both versions of the single charted in the US while the Alex Band version peaked at number 21 in New Zealand.

And today on another project I am working on for a different client I got the data pipeline working which pulls ingress/egress bytes from network switches into Kafka and then into ClickHouse to be queried per minute/hour/day and per switch port.

Run D.M.C., Run D.M.C., 1984 on Profile

Run D.M.C.‘s debut album on Profile, a NY area hip-hop label that was distributed by Arista, who would later reissue it. It was produced by Russell SImmons and Larry Smith, and recorded at Greene St. Recording in Soho.

Note the credit on the rear jacket to “Music by Orange Krush” – that’s Larry Smith and his Oberheim DMX drum machine.

What a profound debut – with “Hard Times” and “It’s Like That” ushering in a new style, it became a landmark in early hip-hop.

My copy, via A1 Records in NYC, is a repressing from the mid-late 80s based on the 1775 Broadway address for Profile Records in the rim text.

Icicle Works, Icicle Works, 1984 on Arista / Beggars Banquet

In the UK (and elsewhere) this was credited to The Icicle Works and was on Beggars Banquet, but in the US it was titled just Icicle Works (no “the”) and was on Arista.

Either way this was their self-titled debut album and included their biggest hit, which—like the album—was titled differently in the US. Most regions knew it as “Birds Fly (Whisper to a Scream)” where in the US it was called “Whisper to a Scream (Birds Fly).”

Icicle Works came out of Liverpool, formed by Chris Layhe, Ian McNabb, and Chris Sharrock. If you’ve only known the single, well worth checking out the full LP. In my collection Via Academy Records in NYC.

Since not finding a fix for it and need to proceed I have now replaced arista.eos.eos_command by ansible.builtin.command. This was easier than expected - just need to wrap the commands by `Cli -p 15 -c "…"` to make them work from the root's shell 🤷
