Hi folks, I've got a #quilting question.
This ~100yr old quilt is a hand me down in my family and has been well-loved. I'm retiring it as a bedcover and hanging it on the wall now. There's a large (quarter-sized) hole on the front and the edge binding is very frayed.
Does anyone have advice on mending it? I'd like to patch the hole in the front. The edge binding isn't so noticeable and may not be worth it.

A security guard at the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center in Yekaterinburg, Russia, was fired after defacing a million-dollar painting, "Three Figures" by Anna Leporskaya, on his first day.
